First Workshop class/tutorial announced!

WORKSHOP- Crochet Concepts series
VESSEL/FORM TECHNIQUE
Class taught by Tania
Wednesday August 4th. 6:30-8.30pm
Limited space available please reserve your space by July 25th.
Class details:
Crocheting around an object is an interesting skill, it needs no pattern and can have strikingly different outcomes. All you need is an object, the simpler the better, organic round shapes are best. Bowls, bottles, and river rocks are all perfect starters. There are many different examples. We will start off simply and get more risky as we get more confident.
Materials:
String, yarn, or cotton twine- the thicker the yarn the easier and faster it will go.
Your object.
Your crochet hook ( should be the size appropriate to your size yarn )
Crochet hooks are also available at workshop for purchase.

moon pop
I am proud to say that the multi-talented Via Tania is my friend.
Tania Bowers who performs under the name "Via Tania" is a mystical songstress from Australia, who somehow ended up in Chicago. She has been brewing her special blend of magic just below the radar for quite some time....
Her most current album, Moon Sweet Moon, is now available for purchase on itunes. Not only as a friend, but as a fan- I must endorse moon, as it is a lovely and haunting album. Here is a great clip of Tania covering Fever Ray's "If I had a Heart"

coming to a workshop near you!
I am so damn excited, I can barely contain myself. Workshop is getting some beautiful potions, solid scents, and hand-crafted soaps from the thoroughly esoteric and lovely collection of Hopi Botanicals.
We are getting black amber balm (a solid scent with an amber base), holy basil roll-on essential oils, hand made hackweed soap, and gorgeous kits made especially for workshop.
The kits will include the two scents (that can be worn alone or layered), a soap, a buffalo quarter, a crystal quartz, and a charm necklace. This is the best voodoo your money can buy. I am completely caught in the spell of this amazing chick. Her name is Emmelie and she has quite a vision which manifests itself into rich and real elixers, body care products, scents, specialized crafts, and objects laden with meaning and a deep respect towards an era past.
